A friend sent me an article about how to make the perfect cup of cappuccino. It covered all the usual things, like picking the right beans and getting the water temperature just right. But at the end of the article, there was a surprise: they suggested taking the cup and swirling it one time. That simple swirl mixes the flavors and makes something already good even better.
It reminded me that, in life, sometimes we have the opportunity to take just a little extra time to enhance something already wonderful. It could be showing appreciation to someone who’s done something nice for us, pausing at the end of a good day to reflect on what made it good, or even letting old friends know how much it meant to be together after a shared breakfast.
I hope you have opportunities today to take that “swirl” and make something good even a little better.
