Have you noticed how many people walk around with AirPods or similar small headphones in? Sometimes, it’s hard to tell if they’re talking to you or someone on the phone. In fact, this is so common that when I’m walking around and want to speak to someone, they often don’t realize I’m talking to them. Even though I don’t have any headphones in, they assume I must be on the phone.
While technology has given us so many ways to connect and communicate with others, it feels like we’ve lost some of the art of one-on-one, in-person interaction. I’m someone who really enjoys talking with people face-to-face, and I’m glad there are still moments when I can simply say hello to someone and have them realize I’m speaking to them and not to someone on a call.
